Keyin College Offers NL’s Only Medical Transcription Training Program

Keyin College in partnership with Prudential Consulting Inc. (PCI) is pleased to offer NL’s only Medical Transcription training program.

Grand Falls-Windsor, NL – Tuesday, February 21st, 2008 – Keyin College in partnership with Prudential Consulting Inc. (PCI) is pleased to offer a specialized Medical Transcription training program. This 9-month comprehensive training program is the only Department of Education approved Medical Transcription program in Newfoundland and Labrador. With a tremendous demand for medical transcriptionists, the availability of trained personnel is critical. Therefore, a training program such as this will help fill the need for qualified Medical Transcriptionists in the Healthcare Industry in Atlantic Canada.

Prudential Consulting Inc. is a leading provider of technology and outsourcing services in Health Information Management (HIM) in Canada and is expanding its medical transcription services to the Atlantic Canadian region. Medical transcriptionists can choose to work from PCI’s regional offices or have the flexibility of working from home through a secure remote workstation. The pay ranges from $33,000 to $35,000 a year and PCI currently has a need for 200 home-based transcriptionists across Atlantic
Canada.
